Trouble then treble

I’ve been wanting to get back into creating music and recently had the opportunity to pickup a used guitar. Luckily, an opportunity to borrow a guitar also presented itself and I took it up.

Fifteen or twenty minutes into actually using the guitar and I feel frustrated and remember why I didn’t stick to my bass or any of the billions of guitars I’ve had. I can’t play guitar by myself, and enjoy the music like I always have with the piano and sample based hybrid piano setup. Fortunately I haven’t committed to buying a guitar and now have the opportunity to get back to my musical roots: the piano.

I have been using a M-audio mini-midi-controller (five times fast?) that is frustrating because I can’t use more than two octaves at once. M-audio products have always been pretty amazing for me so I naturally went back to them to find something to give me what I want: a full 88 key midi keyboard on the cheap. Enter the M-Audio Keystation 88es. I’ll have it on order soon and hopefully be effective at reading sheet music and getting that euphoric buzz of self creation and audio soon. I’ve missed it.
