I’ll never throw these out again

Check this out.

Personal breakthroughs

Sometimes I get down on myself for struggling with picking up certain things in niches that I’d love to master. Well today I picked up two huge skill-sets and all of a sudden it is clear as day what I need to do in two niches. This makes me incredibly happy. It’s great being a nerd.

Note: These two skills and niches are incredibly boring so I won’t even go into the specifics. Just know I’m happy and smarter.

Great random quote

“F&#$ the cradle to grave work ethic. It’s dead. Been dead for 30 years. Experience all you can, paid or not. You’re only young once.” -AlbinoRaven

Wow

I’ve never tried anything like this before but it truly seems revolutionary in the realm of reading comprehension. Unfortunately my mind seems to work in a terrible way when reading. Attention deficit seems to kick in pretty hard after a few paragraphs. Something like this could really help tremendously. Now all I need to do is get my books in raw text format so I can paste them into this applet.

Another step to freedom

I’ve been doing my best to support musicians and artists who aren’t on the bankroll of the major labels but I refuse to purchase anything with DRM. Well I’ve amassed quite the library of music and I’m starting to ponder ogg. It works just as well on all the platforms I use so my idea is that I should use it because of its stance on freedom.

Enter dir2ogg…

I’ve got it running as we speak converting my entire library. It should be a mess to wade through the leftover files (not confident enough to enable the deletion of source files after conversion parameter) but I think it’ll be worth it. It is another habit to get into when it comes to storing media on my equipment.

Edit: The quad core processor in this workstation makes this easy by not even slowing me down while its doing the conversion.

Re-edit: Brick wall. I cannot keep the track number ID3 information in the file upon converting it.
