My back is finally about 95% or so. I can actually walk upright and get around without having my hands behind my back trying to balance and not hurt myself. In a great mood today, highly caffeinated, and my schedule has been testing me. So far I’ve had three emergency calls, plus the normal queue of crap. I can do this. Mr. Full Schedule: Eat it!

I hate doing this usually. If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. That’s usually my motto. However, this one was fairly simple. I have to make a few customizations before it is done but all went well. The new management is quite nice. Very easy on the eyes and seems to be quite a bit faster.
Last night my back was feeling pretty good. Other than walking funny, it didn’t hurt too much. This morning I was expecting to wake up, stretch, and feel fine. Well that didn’t work out well. As I woke up, I was lying on my side with my legs cross over each other. I had that familiar burning in my lower back. Sure enough, it is worse than yesterday. I can traverse the stairs and get around but after sitting down for a while I have to be very careful getting up. It seems the muscle in my lower back doesn’t like being straightened very much. Oh well. Another day of utter boredom. I can’t wait to get out of the house.
So happy friggin’ Memorial Day! It started out really the night before. I couldn’t sleep. So I’m up until two AM or so before I even go to bed. The alarm (a.k.a. wife) wakes me up early as I face the reality that I need to get up. Me and the wife get dressed and head over to help some friends move. We got the U-haul filled to about 95% which included all the heavy stuff (bed, bookshelves, dressersm etc. ) and I was in their bedroom about to get a tiny bookshelf. I pick up this small, maybe three by nine inch candle tray, turn and put it on the ground and BAM! My back. I instantly knew I was in bad shape. I crept into their kitchen and fell on the floor. I lie there for a while then creep out the kitchen outside to the side of the U-haul where I spend some time leaning on the side of it. Then I slowly, and I mean slowly, creep over to the back of my truck where I put the tailgate down and fall over onto it. About five or ten minutes go by before I am needed out of the way to load the truck. So I creep into the passenger side and get the air conditioning going. A few minutes later, my wife jumps in the truck and drives me to the house. I fall out of the truck and waddle into the house to spill onto the couch, my new home. My wife then leaves to help them finish moving. I’m stuck watching CSI:Miami (Caruso you’re a terrible over-actor) for five or six hours before she returns. What a terrible day.
Now, of course, I am at home, able to walk a little bit better. Albeit with my arms in a weird position behind me to help balance or something. I don’t even know why. I just know it feels better to walk like that. At least I have my desk chair to wheel myself around.
I’m getting more and more into dub-step. I’ve picked up some Mary Anne Hobbs mixes and specifically the combo of MAH & Rusko mix is unbelievable. Brilliant stuff. Being a music nerd the tempo just amuses me in the best way.
