Is more important to me now than ever. I’ve sometimes felt down about what I haven’t done. Recently there have been things that bring me to the realization that perspective is key. It completely changes my mood and outlook. What I found I need to do more often is step back and reexamine what I’m doing and what my plans are to make sure they look good from different perspectives. The short-term, impatient perspective has been my main focus for too long. I’m amazed at how quickly I can change a bad mood by just looking at it in a whole new perspective.

I can see me climbing all over those rock faces. Every care in the world would leave. Every source of stress would pale in comparison.
CNN is calling people in Kentucky and West Virginia stupid and racist.

I’d have to say it probably played a big roll in Florida too. Sad but true.
And I’m trying to stick to opening ‘Liferea’ every time I logon. I’ll try to stay more informed.
So today, as I normally do, I run around the Internet looking at the latest political news. I find stuff and post it on my Facebook profile and Myspace bulletin board. I hope to get intelligent responses and usually I’m disappointed. I have two or three friends that generally respond intelligently. I also have many that just reply completely missing the point of what I posted.
Today I post and wait. The posts following mine are as follows “CRAZY HAPPY HOUR TONIGHT!” and “Who Wants To Go To The Beach”. The previous post is “Find out how much I think you are WORTH!”. A bit of political reality sandwiched in between what has basically changed this society into self destructive. I’m too negative you say? Perhaps. But the reality is, most people are worried about where to have a cheap drink, the most fun, and playing games. Most people aren’t worried about the future of the country (which believe it or not, includes them) or the better good of their fellow man.
I have to face that reality. It sucks.
